Accessories are little ornaments that intimately complete the human figure.
The fabrics, the make-up, bijouterie are outer displays of out ego, that sometimes, color, brighten and cover imperfections.
The mask is an accessory that besides allowing us to transform physically, allow us to have another identity. It’s at the reach of every ego acquire a new “face”, to create a new “character”. To fable…transforming a fox in a swan.
This accessory is not a personification, and doesn’t have physical similarities with the person, serving as dark to hide its essence and make an image visible.
The image is a way of attracting, it can be a depravation of the vision or the spirit, implicating a need of becoming desirable. It’s an egocentric act because even aiming at the observer, the main objective is to be admired. The satisfaction is only achieved when the “character” has a stage, where it acts and listen the final applause of its public.
