Das Motivspektrum reicht von Fischen über Vögel bis hin zu Schmetterlingen. Um die Plastizität der Tierkörper zum Ausdruck zu bringen, habe ich Techniken aus der Aquarelle und Tuschmalerei in meine Arbeit einfließen lassen.

Ich möchte mich bei Frau Dr. Claudia Eckmann herzlich für die Einladung und natürlich für die Herausforderung bedanken, eine Ausstellung für ihre Praxis konzipieren zu dürfen.


Most of my drawings are about human figure, but this time, I challenge myself and decided to draw animals...
Beyond the beautiful colors I was trying to create different textures and volumes, so I introduced the aquarelle and the chinese ink.

Sometimes, it's difficult to know how to start working. Well, there's a process frequently applied:
1st choose a Topic
2nd make a research
3rd try the materials
4th and finally the so expected and feared Execution. I say feared because the process can be so long as we want, but then when you are face to face with a white canvas, sometime you just don't know how to start...
This process is very academic but it helps when your brains are boiling.
I never part from my sketchbooks and I have a few of them. When I have to choose which one to use, I just have 2 rules... the closest one to me or the one with the right size for my sketch.

É por vezes difícil saber por onde começar a trabalhar... O processo comum tem as seguintes fases:
1ª escolher o "Tema"
2ª recolher informação/pesquisa
3ª testar os materiais
4ª e tão esperada, temida e final fase do processo: a Execução. Digo temida porque todos os tópicos anteriores podem ser tão longos que ao depararmo-nos com a tela ficamos sem saber por onde começar...
Este processo é escolástico, sim, mas ajuda a organizar a mente que por vezes já fervilha.
Não me separo do meu caderno e até tenho vários. A tarefa de escolher qual o mais adequado é simples... ou é o mais perto ou aquele com o tamanho adequado ao desenho.
